Skipping Subscriptions and One-time Charges
If you are working with a payment connector that allows for both one-time charges and recurring payments (also known as subscriptions) then you can set up your connector to skip one or the other depending on a response in the form.
In general, you can skip a one-time payment by setting it's quantity to 0.
You can also skip a subscription or recurring payment by setting it's quantity to 0, or in some cases, it's charge amount to 0.
This can be useful when you would like to have a form designed to handle both one-time payments and recurring payments, but also want the option for skipping one of those options when the connector is run.
If a single payment connector as the option to process both one-time payments and recurring payments, you can set this up within a single connector. For some payment connectors, you only have the option of doing a one-time or recurring payment, and would therefore need to add in two connectors to accomplish this behavior. Regardless of the setup, the logic discussed above will be the same.
